Love and Magic

Yann, who is a Gypsy orphan, was born with an ability to throw his voice, read other people’s minds, and predict the future. Têtu, a dwarf, Topolain, and Yann are magicians who travel around France performing magic illusion shows. One night after performing a show, Count Kalliovski asks them to perform at a private party for the Marquis de Villeduval. That was the night Yann first met Sidonie, Sido for short; she is a shy, awkward looking girl who is emotionally abused by her father, the Marquis.

Yann is 14 when he met Sido, and she was twelve. He left the city of Paris for three years, and the last half of the book is when the Revolution begins to take over the French capital, Yann returns hoping to save the two people he cares about, Têtu and Sidonie.

life or death

                                                                       Life or death
Eli and his millionaire family are in this compound to escape from a nuclear disaster from another country bombing the United States. So they move into this compound with a time lock set for fifteen years and the only person that knows the code is Eli’s dad. This story is action and mystery packed that will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. For example in the first part of the book Eli and his family are camping in their RV and they hear an explosion and their dad Rex says it’s the bombs going off.  They run out of the RV and are in pitch black of the night running through a field stumbling, running for their lives until they reach a hatch made out of steel. They go down a bunch of stairs and they come to a big steel door and the fun begins. Now Eli has changed dramatically and with low food storage and living off of mostly veggies, now Eli is thinking about life or death.  Will Eli get his family out from the rule of his dad or will they stay knowing that they have 15 years left to stay in the compound, while Eddy and Gram are still alive or will the bomb go off and every one die. I liked it a lot it’s now one of my favorite books. I love it and you will to. A very good book I recommend highly.

Is he really a werewolf?

Eddie, Melody, Lisa, and Howie go to a summer camp called the Lonely Wolf. When they get there they think the camp director is a werewolf. This book is a good book. If you need a short but good book you should read it. I think that their camp director is a little bit weird, but I do think he is a werewolf to. This book is like the other bailey school kids books; because in every book the kids always think that someone is something strange. The camp director takes the kids for a hike and when they set to rest they hear something in the bushes. You have to read and find out more. I think that this book is a really good little kid book. It is a mystery about kids trying to figure out if the camp director is a werewolf. I was always in to what was happening next in the book.
This book is about two friends named Marnie and Nola. Marnie starts hanging out with the populars’ and Nola starts getting mad, she starts yelling at Nola because she is really upset with her because her best friend starts betraying her.Claudia Gabel writes a lot of amazing books like Romeo & Juliet & Vampires, Love me or love me not, and Sweet and Vicious. She writes a lot of teenage drama books. This book was really good. I get into these books it has a lot of drama. It tells about a teenager’s life. The book tells a lot about friendship, jealously, and your basic girl drama. It’s about girls in high school who fight and get jealous with each other.I recommend this book to people who like stories about teenage drama. It is a very good book. I got into it very fast. It won’t take long for it to catch your eye. So you should really go and buy this book for yourself. This is now one of my favorite books and you never know it may soon be one of your favorites. Don’t worry this book isn’t boring at all!

Tearing Apart

Connor age 16, Risa age 16, and Lev age 13, are on a journey to stay alive. When a child turns 13 their parent can sign an order for them to be “unwound”, which is taking every single body part and selling it to someone who needs it, kind of like transplanting. Its’ basically killing them but some people disagree they say it’s another way of living. Anyway, Connor and Risa are unwinds who escaped and found each other along the way in their journey. Each with their own story. Lev isn’t any ordinary unwind though, he’s tithe. He becomes Connor’s hostage at first but later becomes a friend. Connor and Risa go through many difficulties and adventures. Meeting many new people, some against them, some helping them to stay alive. In this big mess Lev gets separated and has his own little journey but he later finds his way back to them. From this whole mess they all end up at a harvest camp together, (where they get unwound at), but you’ll just have to read and find out what becomes of them.
This book was such a good book! So much suspense, never knowing what’s going to happen next! You would think something was going to happen but then something unexpected happens instead.  I couldn’t even stop reading sometimes, which is odd for me because I’m not into reading very often.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants a great book! More to teenagers because they could relate and understand better. It’s a science fiction book, but even if you don’t like that book genre the book Unwind will make you like it! I only took a glimpse of the book and it drew me in and it kept me hooked the WHOLE time.

Hate in the world.

The main theme of this book is about a Jewish girl and her best friend in the time of the holocaust. This story takes place in the horrid time in history. It was based on the holocaust where 6 million Jewish people were killed. But this book is sort of like a biography because you see the Jewish girl’s life through the eyes of her best friend. A quote (not technically a quote) but something in a different language. De Fri Danske is Danish which means “Free the Danes”,  Danes comparing to Jewish people meaning they did nothing wrong so why are they the only people who have to be punished. This book relates to today because there is hate in the world just like back then. The Jewish people were killed because they were a certain race or religion. People today get judged because of the same thing. I would recommend this book to any teacher, student, adult, or kid who wants to learn about history. I fairly liked this book myself to learn about what they had to go through back then. I plan on reading other books with the same theme or by the same author. Good book, if you like learning about history read this book.

Pretty? What Important?

An ugly becomes a pretty on his/her sixteenth birthday. They have an operation to get new skin to become a pretty.
An ugly named Tally went to see one of her pretty friends! His name is Paris, he’s a few months older then Tally they’re supposed to be friend’s forever. Tally was wearing a pig face mask and crashed the party just to see Paris, and she got away but, she almost got caught. Then that’s when she met Shay!!
Shay and Tally are very good friends now. Their birthday is on the same day, so that way they can get changed pretty together. They will never be alone like some of their other friends did. They did a lot of talking and sneaking around together. Shay did a lot of talking about David, but never once told Tally about the smoke or about how she plans to run away.
Shay and Tally got into a fight, and didn’t talk for a while. Shay went back to talk to Tally they both said sorry and hugged and make up. Then Shay said she wanted to run away to the smoke, and wanted Tally to go with her. Tally didn’t want to run away, she wanted to stay there and get pretty and to stay there to be with Paris.
You should read it because it is good book and it made me think differently. It made me think about what’s important in my life. It made me think about what you have and not to take things for granted. To appreciate what you have and what you get.

Stone Fox

This story is about a boy helping grandpa want to live again. Little Willy needs to pay off the farm. So by racing Stone Fox he gets the chance to pay off the farm.
Willy had to earn a lot of money I remember when I had to earn a lot of money like that, but five hundred dollars is a lot of money back then so it was hard for Willy.  Little Willy had a dog named Searchlight. This dog was everything to Willy and the dog was willing to pull Willy on the sled in the race he had to race seven dogs at a time.  He was a great dog.
You should read Stone Fox because it can show you what happens in the old days and shows you how much a dog can mean to you.

McGrowl Beware of Dog

The book Beware of Dog is about a dog named McGrowl who get super powers and fights crime.
There are these two people who kidnap McGrowl and try to use his powers for evil.
But just like any super hero dog or human he saves the day and everything works out.
One of the parts I enjoyed was when McGrowl was chained to the house and he sees a cat and chases the cat with a wall from the house behind him.
McGrowl Beware of Dog is a great book for anyone. It’s full of adventure and lots of fun. This dog has literally gone wild.

The Cheater

The main idea is a guy had taken a test for a girl and what he wants from her is a date for taking the math test.
The guy had asked to go on another date after the first date with her then it just got out of control, because he would ask her over and over. She had said yes to everything until……
This book is awesome there is some mystery going on. Most R.L. Stine books I’ve read are mysteries. The book’s from R.L. Stine are similar in some way.
I am not gonna get into detail but this book has been one of the best books I’ve read.
This book was awesome. I am recommending everybody to read it.

stone by the fox

Stone Fox is about a ten year old boy Willy. Willy needs to win the big race so he can give the money to his grandfather to save the farm.
The main point is he trying to help his grandfather because he’s really sick so he uses all of his college savings money to enter the race. If he wins he gets the money to save the farm. I thought that he would do anything to help his grandpa. I felt nervous when he was going to risk all of his college savings.
The biggest problem for Willy is he has to go against Stone Fox. Stone Fox is a professional dog sledder. Stone Fox has won all the races he had entered his whole life.
You should read it because it can be a true story to some people who have to deal with tough times.

The Christian Teenage Dream

Life is hard especially when you don’t have god in your life, these stories of teenagers finding god really and truly will move you.  This book has stories from teenagers that have lost god and found him or never had him in their lives until now, Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Kimberly Kirberger are truly inspiring authors.  It was a very good book I love the way the stories came to life and made you feel what the person was feeling. When the book comes to an end the stories get happier.

The Short review of a twilight novella

The short second life of bree tanner
By Stephenie Meyer
4 star book
This book is full of lies and betrayals. It is the background story from Eclipse, and tells the story of a newborn vampire, Bree. This tale is definitely intended for fantasy lovers and most likely the age group of teenagers and young adults. Meyer wrote this because she felt she should tell more about the character of Bree from Eclipse. Also she wanted Twilight fans to see from the point of view of a newborn vampire.  I think this was an amazing book. I enjoyed reading it, being a Twilight fan myself. I recommend that if you’ve already read the Twilight series that you should most definitely read this novella. This reviews purpose is to give you some insight into the book and motivate you to check it out at your local library and read it.

Meyers didn’t plan on being an author but her many fans are thankful she had a dream about a vampire and a girl and wrote about it. This review is judging this book on entertainment value.
In the beginning all Bree, the main character, knows is she needs to survive in the mad house filled with crazy newborns. This is until she meets Diego, a vampire who unlike the others seems normal. Bree and her new companion find out they were lied to about the effects of light on them and start to wonder what else Riley, their care taker, has lied about. Like Bree had expected and Diego feared there were more secrets being kept. In the end Bree risks it all for her love of Diego.

I think the book achieves its purpose of letting the readers better understand the mind of a newborn and have a look at the behind the scenes of Eclipse. It’s not written the same way as the other Twilight books because it is not written from Bella’s point of view like most of the other books are, and it is also not nearly as long. The Twilight series books differ from other books in their genre about vampires because in this series they behave differently than ordinary vamps and are not affected badly with garlic, sun, or wooden stakes.

This book will definitely leave you with a thirst for more. I recommend if you are in to fantasy that you put this book on your reading list along with the other Twilight books in the series because this book weaves the story of Bree’s quest for survival which reviles lies that their creator and care taker have been feeding her and all the other newborns. In conclusion this was a fantastic book; I only wish it could have been longer.

The Eye Opener

If you haven’t read the Percy Jackson series you have too. The series is about Greek mythology. The series is about a boy that found himself in a bad situation with the gods he was studying about. What could happen?
The setting starts in Manhattan, New York, then it ends up in a camp that look normal from the outside and turns out to be a war camp. Who would have known? This is a great book the way everything is going on and there is always an exciting moment in the book. Annabeth and Percy fighting all the time yelling “hey watch it seaweed brain”. Those are my favorite parts.
This book is so exciting because it uses great grammar. I know everything they are talking about. I don’t know who wouldn’t like this great book. It has great imagery. He catches my attention the whole way through the book.

The book would be a great book for experienced readers and adults. It is just a great book all the way through. If you didn’t get to read the series, try you will not be disappointed about your choice.
Although everything happening in Percy’s world is going haywire this book is an eye opener. Hey don’t forget there is a new book called the Red Pyramid it’s about Egyptian mythology.
