Flowers in the Attic is a novel about a family living a wonderful life until one day when tragedy strikes. In this novel V.C. Andrews has written a fairy tale about love and abandonment, and about a family that is broken apart by the desire for money, and the desire for love.
One day Chris, Cathy, Cory, and Carrie were setting up a surprise birthday party for their father, with their mother Corrine, and they heard a car door close and they thought it was their father, Christopher, and they turned off all the lights and hid, but they heard a knock. Corrine got up and opened the door and saw two police officers, they we there to explain to the family what had happened to their father. He had been in a tragic car accident and was thrown from the car. Devastation struck the family. They didn’t have enough money so they had to give back everything they owned. So because of this Corrine starts to send letters to her parents asking if she can move in with them. Her mother approves without her father knowing but Chris, Cathy, Carrie, and Cory have to stay locked up in a room in the northern wing of their grandparents mansion.
I won’t give away the ending, or any major facts, but the series is going great so far and it always keeps me on the edge of my seat! This book was awesome! I would definitely recommend it to anybody! I am currently completing the series and I am also loving it. The best series I have read so far!

Wasn't this made into a movie?
